SCORING KEY
45-54: You would make a great manager, if you aren't one already. You understand the management process and have the confidence, sensitivity and leadership qualities to take others with you.

33-44: You are a good manager, reliable and dependable, though you do harbour secret doubts about your confidence and ability in dealing with others.

19-32: You have the makings of a manager but your confidence and sensitivity to others would need much more improvement first to help you to cope with the more difficult aspects of the management role.

9-18: Your confidence is far too low for such a demanding position. You do not have enough empathy with staff and you have little self belief too. You would need to work on your own self first before you could hope to lead others.

0-8: Management wouldn't be for you, for a variety of reasons, especially your perception of what is involved.

What should I do if my score is not as expected?

  • If you scored LESS THAN 30, you would find one of our personalised Coaching Services very useful! LESS THAN 19 and you definitely need some training!

  • You might find the aricles on management on this Confidence Guide website of some value.

  • Managing competently needs personal investment.
